Time for another #MuseUp! This time in the midst of destroyed Dresden in February 1945…
Yadegar Asisi creates the largest 360° panoramas in the world, measuring up to 32 metres in height with a circumference of up to 110 metres. His latest panorama DRESDEN 1945 is currently on display at Panometer Dresden.
On a 1:1 scale, DRESDEN 1945 takes you on a journey through time back to the Elbe metropolis in the immediate aftermath of the bombing raids in 1945. The view from the Town Hall tower reveals the ruins of the destroyed city, from which columns of smoke are seen rising. The project broaches the issues of tragedy and hope in Europe.
An accompanying multimedia exhibition provides an introduction into the topic.
The MuseUp will take the participants on an exclusive guided tour, outside regular opening hours, through the multimedia exhibition and the panorama.
